Adobe AIR 2.0 and Joystick support

What I'd really like to see is joystick support in AIR.  We have a need for this in our current application and the only other solution we have found is ZINC.  Zinc has some really nice features but I'd really like to stick with just AIR if possible.  If anyone has had experience with 3rd part joystick support with AIR or experience with Zinc and Flash Id like to hear your feedback.

  1. We did quite a lot of Flash games in past few years and I'd kill for joystick (or microsoft xbox 360 game pad controller) support built into Flash player itself.

That would drive the web games into a new level, making it available to do split screen / cooperative games without worrying about keyboard not recognizing 2 or 3 keys simultaneously.

  2. I really dont understand why they dont have this. There are so many flash games that would convert nicely to standalone with joystick support.

Just doesnt make sense not to have it
