ColdFusion 9.01 installer
I have to setup ColdFusion 9 every so often and I'm wondering if Adobe are going to package 9.01 into a complete installer. There are already a few updates and it's slightly annoying. They did it with 8 and 8.1 I'd like to see them put this out make our lives easier. CF9 has been out for well over a year now.

ReplyDeleteJust seeing this post, Paul. The engineering team decided to follow a different approach for the installers for ColdFusion 9 and ColdFusion 9.0.1 than they did with ColdFusion 8 and ColdFusion 8.0.1. I don't know all the details on why they did that but I know that at this time they're hard at work on Zeus, the next version of ColdFusion, so it's not going to change at this point. However, one of the big features planned for Zeus is the ability to update ColdFusion directly from the ColdFusion Administrator so hopefully then the updating process is a lot more smooth in the future. Sorry for the annoyance that the approach for ColdFusion 9 creates!
